Erin is an exceptional educator who has been an integral part of the Sturgeon Public Schools community since 2021, working as Vice Principal at Guthrie School and Counsellor and Mental Health and Wellness Coach at École Morinville Public. Prior to joining Sturgeon Public Schools, Erin gained valuable experience as an elementary teacher in rural Alberta.
Erin holds a Graduate Certificate in School Leadership and is currently completing her Masters of Education through the University of Alberta. She has a passion for STEAM, learning through play and early literacy.
At the core of Erin's educational philosophy is the belief that personalized learning is crucial for each student. She advocates for a student-centered approach that recognizes and celebrates individual strengths and challenges. Erin understands that education extends beyond the confines of the classroom, emphasizing the importance of community involvement and cultivating meaningful relationships with students, parents and staff.
